Monsters won the toss and put the visitors on, and Imps made a good start with a 59 hand. Monsters top man S Roberts gave his side a great start with a stick up (11) and the home side tied the hand with a 59.

Imps put 57 on the board on the second hand, while Monsters struggles to a 44 hand to give Imps a 13 pin lead.

Other the next two hands Imps went further ahead with hands of 52 & 64 to the home sides 59 & 53 to lead by 17 pins.

Monsters pulled 1 pin back on the fifth hand 56 - 57.

The Imps had skittled well for the first five hands, but the sixth hand was poor from the visitors as they hit 47, Monsters now with a chance to get back into the match had a great sixth hand hitting 63 to tie the match up.

Imps set Monsters a target of 58 to win with a 57 hand, and after a 3 at the start of their hand the home side skittled well to leave anchor man Lee Ford 8 to win, but after only hitting 2 pins with his first two balls, he was unable to get the pins required and a 6 gave Imps a 1 pin victory.

Top for the Monsters was Andy Crabb with 53, while Martin Haime of the Imps had a great match hitting 58.
